 The Peace Arch
 Megan's New Companion Sister Nordstrom

This week has been great! I love this area and our investigators!
Investigators:
  • Ze has finally recognized the spirit! In our lesson with him, we shared the video of Elder bednar called "The Spirit Of Revelation" with him of how the spirit comes in different ways. The video shows examples of ways light comes, one is turning on a light switch  and you immediate feel a prompting, the second was more gradual, like the rising of the sun, and the third is most common to people, and it is walking in the fog, knowing that it is light, but only being able to step one foot in front of the other towards the light. After the video, Ze told us that he understand how the spirit is speaking to him, and it is as if he is in the fog, but still being led. He said, "This whole time I was trying to get on the path, not realizing I have been on the path the whole time." It was so amazing and the spirit was so strong, reassuring each one of us that the spirit will work through us, even if it takes time to understand. It was so funny, he later said, "I think it's good the spirit speaks to me with the foggy light and not the light switch. Because if I saw Jesus standing in front of me, I would have to take myself to the hospital." Haha! It was so cute, I love Ze so much, and I am so excited for him to recognize the spirit more in his life.

  • Coree is doing great, we couldn't find Ze a ride to church, so Sunday morning, we call Coree and ask him if he would be willing to pick up Ze for church! He is so amazing and just the best.
  • We weren't able to teach Charlotte this week.. she went home for part of the week. But she did come to church and came to a baptism with us that night! She is super awesome.
Ivan is a new investigator we found this week. We met him a while ago, and he told us he used to investigate the church because his ex girlfriend was a member. He said that he would be interested in learning again and so we are going back this Saturday!

I am so grateful for this amazing work that I get to be apart of each day for the next year. It really goes by faster than you would think, I feel like I just got out in the field, but it's been awhile! I love the people in Washington, I encourage anyone deciding if they should go on mission to just do it, you won't regret the experiences you have. They are life changing and bring you closer to your Savior. The scriptures are all about serving and sharing the gospel with others, this is the most effective way to do it, you are on God's errand and there is nothing else that distracts you from the work. I love you all and hope you have an amazing week!
love,
Sister Stokes
