Adventures in Russia and Mexico! January 21, 2019

I feel like we have been in our area for a day, every time we get back in the mojo of things, we have to go on exchanges again! But it's been an adventure! I was in Russian land Sunday night till Tuesday night, then back in our area for Wednesday, then went with the Hermanas Wednesday till Thursday night. It was crazy! But they found 4 new friends in that one day! Miracles are real! Sister Allen and I feel like we haven't seen each other in forever! Haha. But even with this crazy week, the Lord blessed us with two new friends this week!
We picked up a former named Darleen, she is the sweetest women. She has two kids, 13 and 16 and has a genuine desire to learn about the gospel, when she was learning a d few months back, she was omfounf through a lot In her life, but now things have calmed down. The Lord has perfect timing for everyone!
We received a refferall from the hermanas so we went to visit him and he is way cool! His name is Baraquet and he is from Ethiopia. He is very very knowledgable and passionate about the Bible and has many many questions, but he is sincere about knowing the truth.

Barbra was able to recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost this Wednesday! It was such a special moment. I love her so much, she went to the doctors on Friday to see where the cancer is at and now she is still there.. we haven't heard any details, but prayers for her are appreciated.
Our Friend Chee had her baptismal interview Friday and everything went great! But afterwards she told us her daughter was in the hospital because her legs are very swollen and cannot walk. She said she might even have to get them amputated..so sad. She wasn't able to be baptized this Saturday, but we will work towards another day in a few weeks!

Tonight we are going on exchanges with the other hermanas so another adventure and then on Wednesday night we will be going on exchanges with the English sisters! It is going to be another busy week!
I can't believe this is the last full week of transfers! It has flown by.. my trainer goes home in a week!😭 that means I only have 2 transfers after this😱 how is this possible!? Man, time does not stop for anyone. But I am beyond grateful for all the things I've learned and the people who I've met here in Washington.
Love you all, and Happy Martin Luther King Day!
Love,
Sister Stokes
